This is the privacy policy of DeTools. DeTools is operated by DETOOLS LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom, which is the data controller for your personal data ("DeTools", "we", "us"). It applies to detools.dev and to the DeTools products that link to this policy or show "DeTools" on the Google sign-in screen, including SongAI (songai.io), Animate Photo (animatephoto.io), Z-Image (z-image.net) and ImgEditor.AI (imgeditor.ai) (together, the "Products").
By using the Products you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Products.
1. Google user data
DeTools products let you sign in with your Google account. This section explains exactly how we access, use, store and share the data we receive from Google.
- Data we access. We request only the basic sign-in scopes (
openid,email,profile). From these we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We do not request or access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Photos or any other Google data, and we never receive your Google password. - How we use it. Only to create your account, recognise you when you sign in again, show your name and picture inside the product, and email you about your account, purchases and important service changes. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
- How we store and protect it. Your profile data is stored in our account database, hosted by our cloud infrastructure providers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to the small number of DeTools staff who need it to operate the service.
- How we share it. We do not sell, rent or trade Google user data. It is disclosed only to the service providers that host and operate the Products on our behalf (hosting, database and transactional email), or when required by law.
- Retention and deletion. We keep it for as long as your account exists. Email [email protected] from your account email to have your account and the Google user data linked to it deleted; we complete requests within 30 days.
- Revoking access. You can remove DeTools' access at any time in your Google Account under Third-party apps and services.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. Other information we collect
- Content you create. Prompts, files you upload (such as images or audio) and the results generated for you, so we can deliver them and show your history.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We receive the order status and your email, but we never see or store your full card details.
- Usage data. Basic technical data such as browser type, device, country and pages visited, collected through privacy-friendly analytics, to understand usage and fix problems.
- Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Some pages may display ads, whose providers may set their own cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and secure the Products, process your requests and payments, provide customer support, enforce our content rules and prevent abuse, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing with service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Products: hosting, database, email, payment processors, and AI model providers that process your prompts and uploads to generate results. AI model providers receive the content you submit, not your Google profile. Providers may use the data only to provide services to us. Some providers are located outside the UK and EEA; where they are, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
5. Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Uploaded files and generated results are kept so you can access your history, and are deleted when you delete them or your account. We may keep limited records (such as payment records) where the law requires it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK GDPR and EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Children
The Products are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will notify account holders by email if we change how we use Google user data.
